Snow Ice Cream

One of my kids' most favorite things about winter is snow ice cream.  Whenever we make cookies they love to smell the vanilla extract.  It always reminds them about snow ice cream.  One day in the fall while making cookies Miranda wanted to smell the vanilla extract and after smelling it she asked, "When is it going to snow so that we can make snow ice cream?"  This last time we made snow ice cream Miranda and Jaxon took the big bowl of snow ice cream and their spoons and hid in the bathroom, so they could have it all to themselves!  Here is the recipe if you want it: Go outside and get 4-5 cups fresh, clean snow.  Don't pack the snow!  Bring it in and set it in the freezer until you are ready for it.  Mix together 1C. milk, 1/2 t. vanilla, and 1/2 C. sugar.  Stir until dissolved.  Slowly add the snow to your mixture, stirring constantly until it is as thick as ice cream.  Enjoy!

Hey - that's a great idea! We get plenty of snow, so we're going to have to try it.

We're glad you are blogging! We keep up so much better with our friends who have a blog.
